Halloween Witchy

A Halloween witchy:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - Colour Challenge
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/color-challenge-at-bugaboo.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad - I think this one is a Kaisercraft one.  I added some black web ribbon that looks very Halloween like!  The image is AKV Witch from Bugaboo Stamps.  I added a Halloween embellishment to the card.

Candy Corn Mummy

We don't have candy corn readily available in New Zealand but thanks to Google Images I was able to find out what colour it was!  I also found a recipe for Candy Corn Fudge which I'm now tempted to make!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - Colour Challenge

I have used a paper from a paper pad.  I added some Halloween looking web ribbon.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured with copic markers.  I die-cut using a scallop rectangle die from Spellbinders.  I also added some black glitter domes from Craft Creations.

JJ Broomstick

I wonder what she has in those potion jars?

Chocolate Coffee and Cards Challenge - Halloween
http://chocolatecoffeecards.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/challenge-77-halloween.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad (I think it is Rosie's Studio).  The image is JJ Broomstick from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured with copic markers E00, YR07, YR04, BV000, B39, 100, Y35.  The sentiment is a ribbon which I mounted on to white card after separating the words.  I added some faux stitching and black glitter domes.

CAS Flowers

I'm hoping that I don't have the same issues linking up as I did last week.  I repeatedly got "Page Not Found" when I tried to link up so when the challenge got to a few hours left, I put a link to my card in the comments section.  However, as the random prize for that challenge says there were 16 entries and mine would have been #17, I'm assuming that mine didn't count.  Better luck this week I hope.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
From The Heart Stamps - Sketch 084 + Twist
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/10/27/i-heart-card-sketches-with-a-twist-no-84/

Penny's Paper - Anything Goes
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-201.html

Here is the inspiration:

As per last week, I used the sketch, twist and colours.

Kraft Tag

This was such a sweet image to colour.  I decided to keep the colours to a minimum so as not to overshadow the image.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
A Day For Daisies - Kraft Tags
http://www.adayfordaisies.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/adfd-showcase-november-2012-club-kit.html

Crafting For All Seasons - Tag It
http://craftingforallseasons.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/challenge89-tag-it.html

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for the background.  The image is from A Day for Daisies and has been coloured with copic markers E53, E51, Y38 plus Distress Marker - Fired Brick.  I used the same Distress Marker to add the faux stitching and to also colour the pearls.  The tag has been cut from a kraft paper pad by DCWV using a Nellie's Multi Frame die.  I added a sentiment using the Distress Marker.

A Heartfelt Thanks

Highlights of glitter and a cute image!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
CCC Digi - Glitter Power
http://cccdigicreations.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/challenge-11-digiglitter-power.html
Aurora Wings - Heartfelt Thanks
http://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/challenge-8-heartfelt.html

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for this card.  I started off looking for a yellow one but as soon as I saw this one I knew it was purrfect (sorry couldn't resist!).  The image is from Aurora Wings and coloured with copic markers E53, E51. Y000, Y38.  The sentiment is from Melonheadz and I added some Stickles - Gold to the heart.  Die-cutting is with two Spellbinders dies from the same set.  I added some glitter domes which I coloured with copic marker E53 as well as some Stickles to the cat and bird.

Rainy Days

I remember loving the rain when I was younger - jumping in the puddles.  Probably never had an umbrella either as I loved the feel of the rain.  So I went with bright cheerful happy colours to reflect that memory

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Gerda Steiner - Rainy Days

Peace and Joy

The focal point for this card is the sentiment so I decided to keep the background fairly simple.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

I have used a white card blank and sprayed it with Dylusions Ink from a bit of a distance so I got a speckled effect.  I have used glitter foam for the matting.  The image is the one for the challenge at A Day For Daisies.  I coloured with copic markers E00, YR07, YR04, G29, G21.  I have added a couple of orange word pieces to create the sentiment.

Old Fashioned Watch in Pink

I had intended for this card to also be entered into the Digi Sketch Challenge but somehow I seem to have miscalculated the closing of the challenge (BADLY!).  I figured it as 4th November and it is already closed - not sure how I managed that!  I must need more sleep.

Happy Halloween

My daughter was looking for some buttons for a coat she is in the process of making so I wandered around the shop.  I found some Halloween ribbons so I just had to make another Halloween card!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Eureka Stamps - Purple and Orange
http://eurekastamps.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/eureka-stamps-challenge-111-purple.html

Happy Birthday

The Outlawz Challenge is having a week long PARTY!  As well as the usual challenge, there are some games and an extra challenge using a Freebie image:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
The Outlawz Freebie Challenge - Freebie Image
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/page/freebie-challenge2014
Penny's Paper - Polka Dots and Pearls
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-200.html

DeeDee Digis have supplied a set for the Freebie Challenge.  There is a choice of two digis and some sentiments.  There is a sketch to follow for the challenge too.

I have used both digis for my card.  The cake image as the main image and the balloons one for the bottom corners.  I decided to use the Happy Birthday sentiment which I die-cut into a banner shape.  The yellow banner has been cut from pearlised paper using a Tattered Lace die and then attached to the card along some twine.  I have also used some glitter cardstock from DCWV to cut the circle behind the image.  I have added some tiny pearls along one of the layers of the cake.

Can You Handle It

This card is a concept I came up with when this sketch first appeared.  At the time I was away from home with not many resources.  So when there was a free choice of sketch, I really wanted to put those ideas together.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
From The Heart Sketches - Choice of Sketch (Sketch #79)
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/10/20/i-heart-card-sketches-use-any-previous-sketch/

I used a printed kraft cardstock from a paper pad by DCWV called "The Printed Craft Stack".  The image and sentiment are both from the same set by From The Heart Stamps.  I repeated the sentiment several times.  The blue on the sentiment panel and the matting is a blue gelato by Faber Castell.  I coloured the image with copic markers.

Happy Ghost

I don't think this ghost looks scary at all - not with that giant grin!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Stella Says Sketch - Sketch #217

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Black and White and one other colour (orange)
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/black-white-and.html

I have used a black card blank for this card.  I added two orange ribbons from my stash - one of them Halloween themed.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been colorued with a combination of copic markers and paper piecing.  I also added a doodled border using a Distress Marker.  I added five black pearls from my stash but one of them fell on the floor and I can't find it (and i don't have any spare here) so you'll just have to pretend it is there!

Halloween

I decided to make my own background for this card as I couldn't decide on any paper that worked with the concept in my head.  I wanted vibrant and I think I achieved that.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Milk Coffee - Halloween
http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/10/halloween-challenge.html

I have used a white card blank and scribbled oil pastels in purple, orange and green across it.  The image is from Kenny K and has been coloured with copic markers.  I die-cut using a tombstone die from Spellbinders and added some tiny black stitches using a Distress Marker - Black Soot.  I also added the word Halloween with the same Distress marker.

I don't know if it is just me or not but the orange pastel appears to have photographed more red than orange!  It is definitely orange IRL.
