Just A Note

A CAS card with an historical feel to it:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Ike's World Challenge - Historical
http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/ikesworld-challenges-38-historic.html

I have used a white card blank and edged it with copic marker BV00.  I used an image by Ike's Art which is part of the NZ collection.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva - I thought the quill worked well with the historical postage stamp!

Sweet Cupcakes

I found a paper that had a decoration at the top which closed up some of the white space on the sketch.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
From The Heart Stamps - Sketch #110 + 3 of something (pearls + banners + cupcakes)
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2015/05/18/i-heart-card-sketches-with-a-twist-no-110/

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for the background.  The banners have been cut from an offcut piece of a Kaisercraft paper.  The image is from From The Heart Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers YR02, YR00, R22, R20, R46.  I added some faux stitching with a Distress Marker and three pearls.

Red Snowflake Circles

When I saw the sketch at Feeling Sketchy I just knew I had to use these three snowflake digis from Deedee's Digis!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Feeling Sketchy - National Scrapbook Challenge
http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/happy-national-scrapbook-day.html
Creative Ladybirds - Anything Goes
http://creativeladybirdscreations.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-3-and-blog-hop.html

I used some red snowflake paper from Sugar and Spice Studio.  The images as I said above are from Deedee's Digis as is the sentiment.  I cut out the snowflakes with a circle die and then outlined them with a black Reno Art Marker (these are like a budget version of the copic marker as they are alcohol based markers - I like that the have a finer nib for outlines).  I cut the sentiment into a pennant shape and then added some red star bling.

Joy To The World

I was inspired by this Christmas paper to go with a more vintage look to my Christmas card.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Feeling Sketchy - National Scrapbook Challenge
http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/happy-national-scrapbook-day.html
Christmas Cards All Year Round - Vintage
http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/may-challenge.html
CHNC - Colour It

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-263-always-anything-goes.html

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The border is also from the same paper pad.  The images and sentiment are from Deedee's Digis.  I fussy cut the scales and used a rectangle die from Spellbinders to cut out the penguin image and sentiment.  The penguin image has been coloured with copic markers.  I also used Distress Ink - Vintage Photo on the card in various places.

Appreciation

My daughter is at the start of a three year degree in costuming so I think I will end up creating a lot of sewing themed cards for her.  Being a student, she never has any money for cards so I'll gift her a selection of cards, envelopes and stamps!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
One Stitch At A Time - Appreciation
http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-237.html
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-263-always-anything-goes.html

I have used a paper and die-cuts from a Kaisercraft paper pad called Needle and Thread.  The image is from Stitchy Stamps.  I added some faux stitching using a Reno Art Marker.  I also added three real buttons.

Celebrate

I'm not happy with how this is photographing but I'm close to the wire so will take another one shortly!  This one looks okay if I keep it small!

Here's my later attempt at a clear photograph:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Kenny K - Celebrate
http://kennykskraftykrew.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/challenge-195-celebrate.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Pebbles.    The image is from Kenny K and coloured with copic markers.  I die-cut using a Spellbinder Labels die.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva and also cut with a Spellbinders die.  I added a strip of purple cardstock which I embossed with a folder called "Drink Me".  I used some twine through the sentiment tag and then added faux stitching to the image and sentiment to match the twine.  I also added heap of bling to give that party atmosphere!

Birthday Clown

I have created more of a fun card this time.  This one would be suitable for a child's birthday.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
QKR Stampede - Children's Birthday
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/qkr-stampede-challenge-140-childrens.html
Robyn's Fetish Challenge - Anything Goes
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-265-anything-goes-5242015.html
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2015/05/challenge-263-always-anything-goes.html

I have to say that I'm not happy with how this card has photographed.  The background paper is actually green and the colours are more vivid than they appear in the photograph.  The battery in my camera is flat and I can't find where I put the charger so I borrowed my son's camera which is nowhere near as good in quality!

Anyway, the background paper is from Rosie's Studio.   The image is from QKR Stampede and it coloured with copic markers and then matted onto some white cardstock that I sprayed with Dylusions Ink.  I used masking tape to create a border at the top and bottom of the card.  I also added a wooden embellishment and some pearls.

I recently bought a set of dies that had a book amongst them.  I was glad to get the chance to use it!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

I have used a "book" themed paper from Kaisercraft.  THe image is from The East Wind and is coloured with copic markers.  The frame and book die-cuts are from the same company (I will add the details when I get back home!) but from different sets.  I also used some tiny pearls as a corner accent.

Sweetness with a Bow

I thought this was such a sweet image - so I teamed it with a paper with a Christmas baking theme!

Time for a girlie card!

A Birthday Wish

I haven't used an image from Faery Ink for a while so when I saw they were sponsoring a challenge I normally do I thought it was time to!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Crafting For All Seasons - Birthday + 4 of something (pearls)

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio.  I added some organza ribbon over the top and then a narrow satin ribbon which I also tied into a bow.  The image is Gnomie Birthday Cake from Faery Ink and the sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I coloured the image using copic markers and added four pearls to the image and sentiment.

I had an issue for a while where the links weren't adding in properly meaning that I was ineligible for the random draw.  I have now discovered that if I add the link using Internet Explorer then it works properly!  For some reason, the links don't work on Google Chrome but it is better than Explorer for the rest of the post.  Go Figure!

All or Nothing

This week the challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is all about layers - lots or them or no layers - your choice!  I decided to go with lots of layers.

I used Brr-thday Chef from Scribbles Designs for my card:

I have also used a paper from Rosie's Studio.  Colouring of the image and sentiment is with copic markers and matting is red cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  I'm fairly sure the sentiment is from Scribbles Designs but I couldn't find the link in the shop when I looked!

I also used two layers of ribbon - a plain red one and then a polka dot one over the top.  The sentiment also has some small red pearls added to it.

Trying a new card fold

I attended a card making class at the weekend and a couple of the cards used more than one fold.  I thought I'd have another go at the cards using an image in place of the patterned paper we used in the class.
And from another angle showing the sentiment:
