Harriet - Lantern

Why is it when I see unusual colours put together for a colour challenge, I automatically gravitate towards a Christmas card.  This one is certainly not a traditional Christmas colour scheme!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
http://craftysentiments.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/anything-goes-challenge_28.html
CHNC - Use a Sentiment
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/chnc-challenge-287-use-sentiment.html
Winter Wonderland - Use faux stitching
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/stitching-real-or-fauxuse-2-designer.html
Cupcake Inspirations - Colour Challenge
http://cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/challenge-364.html

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by Sugar and Spice Studio.  I added some organza ribbon over the top.  The image is from Crafty Sentiments and coloured with copic markers.  I matted with some black cardstock and rounded off the corners.  I then added a sentiment to one corner and gems to the other 3 corners.

Mint Green Layers

I took this opportunity to use up some left over pieces of Christmas paper for this card.

Creative Craft Cottage - Layer it Up
http://creativecraftcottage.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/challenge-66-layer-it-up.html

I have used three papers from a paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  The image is from All Dressed Up and is coloured with copic markers and then sparkled with some Stickles.  I matted each layer with some green cardstock.  I added a few snowflake embellishments to finish.

Persian Kitty

This is such an adorable image for a cat lover.

The Outlawz Saturday Challenge - Real or faux stitching

Show Us Your Pussies - Furrything Goes
http://showusyourpussies.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/show-us-your-pussies-cats-challenges-7.html

I have used a striped paper from a paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  The letter one is an offcut from another card - I think this paper may also be from Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Sami Stamps and is coloured with copic markers.  I used a Memory Box die to cut both the image and the contrast paper - the die cuts the faux stitching.  I matted with some black cardstock and added a black enamel dot from We R Memory Keepers.

Thank You

I had fun with this card - stuck pretty close to the sketch as I liked it that much.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Feeling Sketchy - Sketch
http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/147-new-sketch.html
Digi Choosday - Gems
http://digichoosday.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/week-26-bling-gems-or-glitter-crafting.html

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for the background.  The diamonds have been cut from various offcut pieces from other cards.  I die-cut a swirly embellishment using a Memory Box die and the plain paper I used for one of the diamonds.  I added a digital sentiment from Eureka Stamps and some gems to the diamonds.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers.

Hot Hot Hot

The sun is finally out today - after about a week of wet weather.  I actually started this card while the weather was still miserable - to cheer myself up.  Maybe the weather took heed!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Little Tangles - Embossing
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/challenge-69-embossing.html
Star in my Pocket - Here comes Summer
http://starstampz.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/here-comes-summer-challenge.html

I embossed some pale yellow cardstock with an embossing folder called "Heavy Duty".  It reminded me of the tread on the bottom of jandals (I think they are called Flip Flops in other countries).  The sentiment is a digital sentiment from Digital Doodling.  I added some colour to both the image and sentiment using copic markers.  I also used some Distress Ink to ink the inner of the sentiment diecut and the outer of the image diecut.  I used some ribbon from a grab bag of ribbons that I purchased a few months back as well as two enamel dots from We R Memory Keepers.

Hot Holiday Wishes

This image is probably more relevant to the temperatures we have here for Christmas.  For us, Christmas is in the middle of summer - although I have to admit we don't have the temperature extremes that other countries have!

The Corrosive Challenge - Lots of Layers
http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/june-challenge-6-lots-of-layers.html

I have used three papers from Bearly Mine Designs.  The mage is from QKR Stampede - I paper pieced some of it with 2 of the Bearly Mine Designs papers and then added some further colour using copic markers.  The sentiment is from a paper pad by Kaisercraft - the colour works well with the papers.  I used some pearlised paper for matting the image.

If you can't stand the heat......

... don't light the candles.  I love this sentiment - and I thought this was a perfect image for it!

I have had both the paper and the image printed out since early June - and only just managed to find the time to create with them!

http://crafting-with-friends.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/challenge-23.html

I have used a blue card blank this time.  The paper and sentiment are from a paper pad by Kaisercraft called "Sandy Toes".  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and is coloured with copic markers to match the colour palette at Catch The Bug.  I added some peelcraft stickers along the edges of the paper, matted with some pearlescent paper and added a starfish embellishment.

Life is Better in the Summer

I'd have to agree with that!  We are stuck in the middle of winter at the moment - but I'm really looking forward to summer weather again.

I wasn't sure whether a seahorse counted as an animal - definitions of what is an animal differ from person to person.  I went with the idea that it is!

Aries

I decided to create a CAS card this time - I wanted to keep the fading out of the colours on the background paper which I felt I would lose if I added too much on top.

Enjoying The Sun

That is one thing I won't be doing today!  It has been pouring rain since before I even got up this morning - and hasn't really let up at all.  I was tempted to stay in bed - but had a few things I had to get done.

Triple Treat

I have worked with a set of images that enabled me to split into three circles:

Here is the sketch and twist that I followed:

Don't talk to me......

....til I've had my coffee!

I'm not one of those people who needs a coffee first thing in the morning - but I know alot of people who could relate to this sentiment.  I'm more of a Hot Chocolate person myself!

Wedding Congratulations

I ended up having to change the sentiment I was going to use on my card as my printer just ran out of black ink so a digital sentiment was not possible. It is well before the shops open for the day and it is pouring with rain at the moment anyway!  I found an acrylic stamp that I could use instead.

Earth Fairy

It is time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  This challenge we are sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy and Miss Daisy Stamps.

For my creation, I have used a digi stamp from Fabrika Fantasy called Earth Fairy.

I have also used papers from Michele R Designs.  I used some pearlised paper to the matting and also to die-cut the button embellishments using a Memory Box die.  The flower has been cut from some scrap paper with the centre from the pearlised paper - both die cut with a die from Elizabeth Crafts.

A Touch of Class

I haven't managed to join in with the challenge at Aurora Wings for a couple of months, but this time I was inspired to create a CAS card with a musical theme:

Fishing without a line

The Friday challenge at The Outlawz has four options for inspiration.  I was kind of inspired by two of them - National Go Fishing Day (which inspired a boat image) and Father's Day.
